Your best bet is to visit a model shop. They have lots of experts there that can give you pnltey of advice and will sell you any spare parts that you need, and some will even carry out repairs. The only problem is that this kind of store is few and far between. Also they CAN be expensive. Some easy fixes:With the missing plastic, get some shrinking plastic (available from most DIY shops its kind of like thick shrink wrap) and use that. This kind of plastic will melt onto the other plastic with a hairdryer or an iron. It is durable and hardwaring and best of all waterproof. As for the upgrading, look online for some circuits that do what you want. Then go to an electrical store and build up the circuits, this is surprisingly easy if you are good at following detailed instructions. If not you can probably buy them pre-made online.I am not too sure about the take off thing, you haven't specified exactly why it won't take off, but the most common fault is a balance issue. Check the balance on the rotors and if they are dodgy you will need to fix this. This could also be something to do with the missing plastic. This would also throw off the balance. Also, it may sound obvious, but if you have modified it before, it might be too heavy, in which case you will need to replace the motor with a stronger and faster one, and maybe replace the blades so they are a little longer hope at least something in this was some use to you
